    Keep, discount, remove or dispose

Storage is cheap most of the year and expensive in Q4. The aged-inventory surcharge is what turns slow stock into a loss: from 271 days it jumps to $5.45 per cubic foot per month, roughly seven times the normal storage rate. Amazon counts age first-in, first-out, so your oldest units are the ones that age.

The calculator follows your stock month by month, selling the number of units you enter, and adds up storage and aged surcharges. If keeping costs more than the removal or disposal fee, and a discount won't clear the units in time, removal is the cheaper choice.

Not included: the storage-utilization surcharge, which depends on your whole account's ratio of stored to sold inventory. Sources: Amazon Seller Central: Monthly inventory storage fees; BQool: What are Amazon FBA Fees? 2026 Updates (full 2025/2026 tables).
